Technical Instructions for applying the CEUR Template to XR4CE Submissions

To ensure your paper is compliant with the CEURART style, please follow the instructions on this page.

Template Link: [CEURART LaTeX Template (Overleaf)]. Please use the default 1-column layout. Transfer the content from your originally submitted manuscript to the new template. Below are some tips to facilitate the migration process.

Handling Teaser Figures (if utilized): The ACM \begin{teaserfigure} is not supported. To keep your (optional) top-of-page wide image, use the standard \begin{figure*}\[t\] environment and place it immediately after \maketitle in your source code.

Remove/do not migrate ACM specifics: Delete or comment out \description{...} commands, ACM-specific CCS concepts, ACM ISBN, ACM ‘reference format block’, and ACM copyright statement. To ensure figures accessibility for visually impaired readers, in alternative to the \description{...} command, please use the alt key within the \includegraphics command as illustrated here: \includegraphics\[width=\linewidth, alt={Detailed description of what the figure shows.}\]{FIGURE.png}. To ensure figures are positioned where you want them in the paper, please try the various default options offered by LaTex such as \[h\], \[t\], \[h\!\]

Keywords: Use the \begin{keywords} ... \end{keywords} environment provided by CEUR. Make sure you acknowledge the XR topic in the keywords (to enhance the workshop positioning towards the CEUR submission).

Authors’ metadata: Please provide all available information. Full names, email addresses, affiliations with physical address, corresponding author and contribution (at the line \fntext\[1\]{These authors contributed equally.}) are required fields. Orcid ID, personal URLs, and other information are optional.

Workshop mention: In the \conference field in the template, please use the argument {CHI'26: XR4CE workshop, April 14, 2026, Barcelona, Spain}

References: Please import your references in a new .bib file (copy the entries in your original .bib file) in the CEURART template. Do not change the template settings and \referencestyle even if it does not compile with authors’ full names (as suggested in the template).

Mandatory AI Disclosure Policy: In accordance with the CEUR-WS Policy on AI-Assisting Tools, all authors must now include a "Declaration on Generative AI" section immediately before the References (for more information and an example statement, see CEUR’s AI use policy page) .

Requirement: Detail the tools used (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly) and their specific role (e.g., "grammar checking" or "rephrasing").

Accountability: AI tools cannot be listed as authors. You remain fully accountable for the integrity of the content. Core scientific insights or new sections of text must not be generated by AI.
